# Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in Styx, grouped by where it works.



`Mod` is ⌘ on a Mac and Ctrl on Windows and Linux. Shortcuts can't be changed yet. **Settings › Shortcuts** lists the main ones.

## Anywhere in the window [#anywhere-in-the-window]

| <Keys k="Mod+P" />       | Switch project: the palette, showing projects only.                                    |

| <Keys k="Mod+Shift+T" /> | Switch between light and dark. (**System** is set in **Settings › General**.)          |
| <Keys k="Esc" />         | Close the topmost sheet, drawer, dialog or palette and return focus to what opened it. |

## Workspace [#workspace]

| <Keys k="Mod+2" />         | Go to the second task.                                                       |

| <Keys k="Mod+4" />         | Go to the fourth task.                                                       |
| <Keys k="Mod+Shift+O" />   | Pop the current task's chat out into its own window, or dock it back.        |
| <Keys k="Mod+Enter" />     | Grant the current task's access request as asked: its own scope, for 1 hour. |
| <Keys k="Mod+Backspace" /> | Deny the current task's access request.                                      |

Grant and deny work from the chat and the workspace while the access request sheet is closed. Prod write, deploy and delete still ask for Touch ID, Windows Hello or your system password.

## Chat composer [#chat-composer]

| <Keys k="Shift+Tab" />   | Next permission mode: **Ask each time** → **Accept edits** → **Plan mode** → **Ask each time**. From any other mode it goes to **Ask each time**. |

Type `@` to mention a file or `/` for a command. While that list is open: <Keys k="↑" /> and <Keys k="↓" /> move, <Keys k="Enter" /> or <Keys k="Tab" /> picks, <Keys k="Esc" /> closes the list.

## Access request sheet [#access-request-sheet]

## Agents board [#agents-board]

On a focused card that needs you:

## Command palette [#command-palette]

## New task and Tasks [#new-task-and-tasks]

## Design [#design]

While the **Design** tab is showing, and you're not typing in a field:

| <Keys k="V" />   | Turn **Select** on or off: click an element, or drag over an area. |
| <Keys k="Esc" /> | Clear the selection; press again to leave **Select**.              |

In the design panes:

| <Keys k="Mod+Enter" /> | **Start a design task** from what you typed, or send what you wrote under **Tell** about the selection. |

## Preview [#preview]

## Diff review [#diff-review]

| <Keys k="r" />         | Revert the focused change in the worktree. |
| <Keys k="Mod+Enter" /> | Done: back to the workspace.               |

When you review a single turn, only <Keys k="Mod+Enter" /> applies.

## Pop-out chat window [#pop-out-chat-window]

The chat composer keys work as above. The palette and <Keys k="Esc" /> to close belong to the main window.

## Moving and resizing [#moving-and-resizing]
